It’s Just A Little Money

One day while walking through a store you see a toy that you have been wanting for a long time but you do not have enough money to buy it.  Later that night you see your dad’s wallet laying on a table.  Inside is $20, more than enough to buy that toy.  You think to yourself, “Dad has a lot of money, he won’t miss it.”

  • Would it be right to take the money?  Why or why not?
  • How would you feel if someone stole something of yours?
  • Read: Ephesians 4:28 and Romans 13:9

Help A Cheater?

Your best friend Jeremy is worried.  Today is a big math test and he did not study last night because he had a baseball game and just didn’t feel like studying when he got home.  He is really happy because you sit beside him in school.  He wants you to write your answers bigger than you usually do and tilt your paper to where he can see your answers so he can copy them.

You don’t want Jeremy to get a bad grade.  After all, he’s the one cheating on the test, not you.  Yet you feel deep inside that this attitude is wrong.

Giving Back…To Those Who Take Care of You

Your parents, grandparents, or whoever takes care of you makes great sacrifices for you. Instead of a problem this month, I want you to think of some things that I hope you would like to do for your parents.

  • Thank your parents for cooking, doing the laundry, and other work to make the house run well
  • Thank your parents for working so that you can have a place to live, food to eat, and money to get things you need.
  • Thank your parents for teaching you about God.
  • Obey your parents because it is the right thing to do and it will make you and your parents happy.
  • Friends With “Scarface”

Jack, a boy at school, doesn’t have too many friends. He seems like a nice guy but he is a little overweight and doesn’t play baseball very good. He also has a scar on his right cheek where he had to have stitches after a bike wreck from which he earned the nickname “Scarface,” a name he obviously does not like.

You know him well because he goes to church with you and has been a friend for many years. Some of your friends from school asked, “Why are you hanging around Scarface?”  You have also found out they are planning to embarrass him during lunch.

    Copying Bible Lesson

What Do You Think She Should Do?

Jeanie is pretty frustrated this Sunday morning. Every night she reads a little bit of her Bible class lesson and scriptures. On Saturday she fills out the questions in her class book so she will be ready for class and be able to discuss the lesson and ask questions that came up in her home study.

Leslie is in Jeanie’s class. Every Sunday Leslie comes in and asks to see Jeanie’s book. She then copies Jeanie’s answers into her book. Sometimes, when she is late, she will ask for Jeanie’s book to read the answer. One time, 5 people read answers from her book in class.
