Billy was well-liked by many boys and girls in his class. When his birthday came around, his mother told him he could host a party and invite his friends.
He immediately invited his classmates from school and friends from church. However, there was one person Billy wasn’t sure about inviting.
Joe, a friend from church, was a little different from the other kids. Billy liked Joe, but he did not like how some of his school friends made fun of Joe and called him names behind his back.
The Dilemma
Although Billy wanted Joe to come to his party, he knew his school friends might tease Joe. Furthermore, Billy worried that if he stood up for Joe, the other kids might start making fun of him as well.
Billy faces a test of loyalty (being faithful and supportive to a friend, especially when it is difficult).
