It only takes a second of distraction to change a life forever. Texting while driving is one of the most dangerous decisions a driver can make. It can result in your own death, the death of innocent people, or life-altering injuries.
No text message, notification, or social media post is worth a human life. The message can wait. Mourning is too long, and life is too short.
Keep Yourself and Others Safe
- Put the phone away: Place your phone in the glove box, the back seat, or in “Do Not Disturb” mode while driving.
- Be a safe passenger: Speak up if you are riding with someone who is texting and driving. Offer to type the message for them.
- Lead by example: Show your friends and family that safe driving is your top priority.
