Your parents, grandparents, or guardians make incredible sacrifices to take care of you every single day.
Instead of focusing on a problem or conflict this month, I want you to think about how you can actively show gratitude and give back to those who care for you.
Here are four simple but powerful actions you can take:
Ways to Show Gratitude
- Express thanks for daily chores: Say thank you for cooking, washing laundry, cleaning, and doing the other daily work required to keep the household running smoothly.
- Acknowledge their hard work: Show appreciation for their jobs. Remember that they work hard so that you can have a safe home to live in, nutritious food to eat, and the resources you need.
- Thank them for spiritual guidance: Express gratitude for the time they spend teaching you about God, reading the Bible with you, and bringing you to church.
- Obey them with a good attitude: Obeying your parents is the right thing to do. Active obedience builds trust and creates a peaceful, happy home for everyone.
