Do You Have Your Lesson?

If you attend Bible classes regularly, do you always have your lesson prepared? If you are a parent, do you check to see if your children have finished their Bible lessons? Or do they try to scribble down the answers in the car on the way to class?

The Value of Daily Study

God’s word contains “all things that pertain to life and godliness” (living a life that is pleasing to God).

Because of this, it is extremely important to study daily and meditate (think deeply and focus our minds) on our Bible lessons. Completing these study assignments before class helps us learn much more effectively when we gather together.

A Responsibility for Parents

Parents must be especially mindful of helping their children prepare for Bible class. My friend Phil Robertson made an excellent point about this in his lesson “Quest for Truth”:

If we want our children to respect the truth—and eventually teach their own children—we must help them build good study habits today.

A Message for Students

Young people, you need to spend time reading God’s word every single day. Doing this will build up your knowledge and give you the tools you need to make good decisions in life.
