Back to School

For many of you a new school year has arrived. When you go back, don’t forget to go with the Lord. There may be temptations to do wrong things, talk about others, or choose friends who will not influence you to do what is right. Be sure to stand strong against those temptations as they will not only lead to problems now but may ultimately draw you away from a closer relationship with God. You will be much happier doing the right thing, even when it seems like you are the only one. You are to be a light! And when you do what is right, you may be surprised at how many others will have the courage to also stand for what is right. I pray that you will stand strong and enjoy a joyful school year.

  1. Benjamin says:

Choosing friends that try to influence you in other ways is good for those who are strong enough in their faith to resist, and something every believer has to do eventually. If you do not make relationships with the world, how will you affect it? Show them your love, your resistance, and your grace and they will see the Lord in you. If they do not, it is the Lord’s will. Do keep trying.

Excellent point Benjamin. You can’t taste the salt if it’s not with the food! We must love those in the world and let Christ live through us towards all men so that God may be glorified. And, as you note, some may want Christ living in them as well though some may still rebel. Thanks for visiting!
